Stillwater Tavern in St. Petersburg

Modern Tavern Hits Beach Drive

The white subway tiles and hanging Edison bulb lighting create a modern and inviting feel to the latest addition to the dining scene in St. Petersburg. The tufted, high backed booths and open tables create a fun and festive atmosphere with direct views to the kitchen area. The bar offers a great list of craft cocktails that are listed by Stillwater Tavern in St. Petersburgnumber. Guests actually have to read the list of ingredients to figure out what they like. A couple favorites include the # 3 ( prairie vodka, fresh raspberries and ginger) and #68 (high west rendezvous rye, luxardo cherry, fresh orange slice, peychauds, ginger beer). In addition, there are four wines on tap – two red and two white, along with two cocktails, and a nice wine list that was created by Executive Chef, Jeffery Jew.

As part of  2B Hospitality, Stillwaters Tavern Executive Chef, Jeffery Jew, is very aware of what Beach Drive diners expect, and will accept, when they come for dinner. Combining familiar dishes with that unexpected twist is what makes Stillwaters Tavern already a local favorite. Trying to satisfy the tastes and desires of a wide audience certainly has its  challenges, but Jew, along with chef du cuisine, Joshua Breen, are up for the challenge. The friendly staff of bartenders and waiters areStillwater Tavern in St. Petersburg knowledgable about the menu and will gladly describe each dish and share their favorites. Jew’s menu favorites include the Asian chopped salad and The Med salad, that are influenced by his heritage and travels.

A great starter is the Lager Cheese Fondue, where jar filled soft pretzels soak up delicious, sharp cheddar cheesy goodness. Be sure to also try the Cedar Key Clam Chowder filled with hearty potatoes, and clams sourced from Cedar Key, served with house made saltine crackers. As much as possible, all menu ingredients are sourced locally to ensure the freshest and best taste of the season.

Main entrees include beef, chicken, pork and seafood options – all with a unique twist. The Tavern Filet is aged and slow cooked and served with everything mashed potatoes and roasted mushrooms — a hearty and delicious dish. The Sea Scollops are a lighter fare with roasted vegetables and grilled mushrooms topped with truffle brioche butter. Every day there is a dish of the day — Dailies — from Sunday’s Prime Rib to Tuesday’s Lobster Roll, Wednesday’s Chicken ‘n Waffles and Thursday’s must-try Duck Pot Pie.

To wrap up the meal, don’t miss the Dark Chocolate and Cherry Brioche Bread Pudding topped with Vanilla Bourbon Ice Cream.

With its Beach Drive location, a modern twist on familiar dishes, delicious cocktails and inviting atmosphere, Stillwaters Tavern delivers.    M
