Celebrations at the Beach, for a Ghost and for Children in the Community.
Scenesters! Ahh, what a chilly winter it has been. But things over at Metro and B Scene have been heating up. It was an amazing holiday season of incredible events, and this months B Scene is jam-packed. Did you make our paparazzi list? We checked it twice, so read on.
Celebrity appearances, synchronized swimmers and a never-ending supply of party favors, made the Grand Opening Party at Postcard Inn (PCI) the hottest place to be. Welcoming some 700 guests (pure speculation), signature drinks and bars were sprinkled throughout, along with a 10 ton PCI sand sculpture complete with a red carpet and surfboard backdrop to greet guests. Shaun Hopper exhibited some impressive finger-picking on the guitar in Wildwood BBQ setting the mood for the full-course BBQ dinner hosted by actress and model Molly Sims. DJ Fresh spun in the lobby and the retro band Men from Mars took the poolside stage. The Florida Masters Synchronized Swimming Team dazzled along with over 200 disco balls sparkling in the pool. Seen in the crowd were Tampa’s Dr. Randy & Kelly Feldman, Greg & Meredith Blasco, Alison & Robby Adams, Jay & Dana Parsons, Lee Mezrah, and Michael & Lindsy Stewart. It was truly a postcard perfect evening!
Rolls Royce of Tampa Bay is known for one thing amazing cars. But after their launch of the new Rolls Royce Ghost, they are now known for great cars AND a great party. Celebrating such a spectacular car can be a tough task, but Rolls Royce Manager Rodney Padgett, General Manager Scott Larghee, and Marketing Director Tracey Ringstaff, assembled a worthy guest list. Winky Wright, and his wife Pie, stopped in to see the alluring car along with Jill Heald, and Rob & Leah Adams. Raffle tickets were sold for a night out in the Ghost, with the proceeds going to the Children’s Home.
The Ryan Nece Foundation is always in the spirit of giving but they made this past holiday season very special for many underprivileged children in the Tampa Bay community. Ryan Nece hosted “Ryan’s Rockin’ Holiday Party” in support of his foundation’s Good Samaritan Holiday Celebration and provided gifts to the children at Hillsborough County Department of Children’s Services. The night was a true success with great music by DJ Felixindahouse, specialty cocktails by Zyr Vodka, hors d’oeuvres by Ceviche, and a special visit by the big man in red, Santa Claus. In the true spirit of giving, guests were asked to select a child’s wish from the Giving Tree at Ceviche and bring the items with them. The guests helped to make the season brighter raising nearly $8,000.
