Lions, Tigers, Steelers and Cardinals, Oh My!

Happy Spring scenesters! While I'm still feeling the residual effects of Super Bowl XLIII, we had a duty to give you all the hot coverage from all the parties, and for this issue, I had a partner in crime, my identical twin sister Blair. We also have a report on Jungle Boogie, the preview party for Karamu.

Saks Fifth Avenue and Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo teamed up to host Jungle Boogie, as a preview to the zoo's signature fundraiser, Karamu, which will be held April 18. Kelly Feldman, the 2009 event chair, has certainly been doing all she can to make Karamu recession proof. More than 250 people attended the cocktail soiree, and were greeted by painted lionesses and carnival dancers. Seen sipping and shopping were: Heather Shaw, General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue, Dr. Randy Feldman and his son Adam, Kellie Newsome, Alan Bridges, Cheryl and Troy Hawkins, Michael Pinson, Jean Pasion, Adam Robinson with Sagitiba who provided the signature drink, past Karamu chair Erika with her husband Steve Anderson, and Trisha Rothman, Vice President of Marketing, at Lowry Park Zoo. For more info on Karamu, log on to www.karamutampa.org.

With all the Super Bowl Party madness, it was easy to get lost in the shuffle. But the three night sold out Good Life Experience at The Venue, was the talk of the town, and B Scene was on the red, green, and white carpets all three nights. Hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs, Deion Sanders, and Winky Wright, the party lived up to all the hype. Beautiful girls, themed decor, and a slew of celebrities made it the ticket to get. With the hosts attending all three nights, many graced the carpet of the Good Life including: Adrian Peterson, DeMarcus Ware, Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson, Terrell Owens, rapper T.I., American Idol's Jordin Sparks, Actor Jeffrey Wright, Phillies' Ryan Howard, Ryan Nece, Michael Clayton, Tampa Bay Ray's Matt Garza and Scott Kazmir, Joe Flacco and So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy.

Down the street at the Maxim party in Ybor, Blair was on the red carpet rubbing elbows with celebrities. From a Patron themed Photobooth to a retro lounge atmosphere, Maxim delivered. Getting Maxim with it were Cuba Gooding Jr, Joe Simpson, Brody Jenner, Jayde Nicole, Michael Johns from American Idol, Cal Ripken Jr, Barry Sanders, and Ronde and Tiki Barber. Blair and I went in Tampa in '01, San Diego and Jacksonville and while she said the party was good, she ended up at Deion’s party late night at The Venue, in the VIP. Leave it to the "San Francisco treat" Blair to be VIP in my town!

Listen to my B Scene party report on JPs Happy Hour every Friday afternoon on Sports Radio 1010.
Now get out there and B Scene!
