B SCENE
For the 17t

From Red Carpet to Red Velvet...

The Tampa Bay area is attracting a little more star power and notoriety, and starting to produce events one would think they’d find in New York, DC or LA. B Scene was given the red carpet treatment at some very exclusive events, one new event to Tampa Bay, one player continuing to make a name in the community, and one new hot spot that if you can get beyond the velvet rope, it’s worth the wait.

Red Carpet Mondays began in Orlando as a way for young professionals to network, unwind and socialize. Over 200 people graced the Red Carpet at Lime Soho. Seen were Robin Atkins, Ben and Cindy Dachiapelli, and Jeff Gigante, owner of the Lime. Check out redcarpetmonday.com for their next event.

Vincent Lecavalier is a star on and off the ice. His foundation hosted more than 150 people for a “Toast 4 Charity” at the AFS club at the St. Pete Times Forum. Vinny and his teammates tasted wine, mingled with fans, all to benefit All Children’s Hospital. One item, a picture of Marty St. Louis, Brad Richards and Vinny, was so hotly bid on, that two were auctioned and went for $4,000 each. Sean O'Cuinneagain founder of Winemall.com sponsored the event along with Terlato Wines. Sipping and socializing were Lauren Berner, Joel Momberg, Liz Willyoung and Jim Henning. Check out the foundation’s new site at vinny4.com.

Tommy Ortiz and Chris Scott have hit it out of the ball park with The Kennedy. A reservation only, exclusive hot spot where Bahasa was once located. B Scene was invited to the ultra- exclusive VIP opening party to check out what all the fuss was about. Red velvet ottomans, drum coffee tables, classic album covers gracing the walls with a rock and roll feel, this is a place B Scene will definitely frequent. Club Manager Alex Gilmour, Armando Velez, Harmony Trusheim, Scott Taylor, Joe Pacifico and his fiancée Erin Gillam, Andy Lehrer and Fate Productions were all rocking at Tampa’s newest best kept secret. Check it out at thekennedysoho.com.

On a side note, your B Scenenster – Brooke Palmer - has been nominated for Woman of the Year. Log on to www.brookepalmer.org for information on events and how to donate. The campaign runs through May 10 and benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Support a great cause and make B Scene a winner.

Now get out there and B Scene!
