Gala Dinner and Dance

Wine and food lovers delighted at five days of fun-filled activities designed to fit any taste or budget. The Friday night A Splash of Care Affair Gala held at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota was a culinary feast for the 500 guests. Executive Chef Frederic Morineau assembled a dazzling array of creative talent – his peers and friends – all members of the elite club that is the Executive Chefs of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company from around the country to create a tantalizing menu paired with perfectly matched wines. A Brunch and Charity auction was held on Saturday and the casual, laid-back Sip & Shop wrapped up the weeks’ events on Sunday. The event has raised over $6.1 million in grants and provided funds for 70 charities in Sarasota and Manatee counties to benefit disadvantaged children’s charities.
