An Ode to the Past

A delicious dining experience awaits inside the historic Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in downtown St. Petersburg. Marchand’s Bar & Grill with its classic décor and expansive space is the signature restaurant for the hotel serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside guests are welcome to enjoy the ambiance and delicious offerings of Chef Mark Heimann and his team. Last year, the hotel began offering a special dinner entrée with special pricing.
“Our popular Classic Dining Menu has been a huge hit with our members and guests and is offered for $19.25,” said Chef Mark Heimann. “We present this special menu in Marchand’s Bar & Grill as it celebrates the year the Vinoy Park Hotel was born in 1925. The menu changes with the seasons and is served daily between 5:30 and 7 p.m.”
The delightful three-course meal is offered at an incredible value while being eco-conscious too. Chef uses all natural lamb, free-range chicken and sustainable fish. For a starter, the April menu offers a choice of Asparagus Soup with truffle oil, crisp Parma ham and a dollop of Crème Fraiche or an Organic Baby green salad with Fuji apples, Toasted Walnuts and Celery topped with Mustard dressing. The entrée choice is Grilled Salmon or Lemon Braised Lamb Osso Buco or Fig Glazed Chicken. The finale is a Berry Trifle Sponge Cake and Sherry Custard or Peach Melba with Raspberry Streusel. Pair the meal with a glass of wine from the McWilliams winery from Australia to enhance the classic menu.
