B Scene with Brooke Palmer |
Is our summer really ending scenesters?
It has been a packed summer for B Scene with events and travel! We hope you have enjoyed the fun in the sun! However, summer vacation doesn’t stop Tampa Bay Metro and B Scene from bringing you the best Tampa has to offer. We found ourselves rubbing elbows with quite a few celebrities at two high profile events: The Ryan Nece Foundation's Capture the Moment Gala and Urban Coast's Evening with Bryan Rafanelli.
Boston based Bryan Rafanelli recently hosted an evening at Urban Coast in Belleair with many of Tampa's leading Wedding and Event industry veterans. Rafanelli has produced incredible events including Chelsea Clinton's wedding and the State Dinner for China at the White House. When Soosie Lazenby, owner of Urban Coast, approached Rafanelli about coming to Tampa Bay to share his stories, it was natural that a great party broke out! The event was fun and stories of Bryan's events, were nothing short of jaw-dropping. Amongst those in the effervescent crowd were: Frank Clemente, Lynn McGhee, Zoe Gallina, Jocelyn and Alex Karas, Monica Varner, Nicole Carballa, Shannon Waters-Vogt, Cristina Martin, Diana Tamayo, Ashley Valentine, Katie Edmiston, Aymee Brace and Kenneth Heidt.
In its fifth year, the Ryan Nece Foundation's Capture the Moment Gala has become a staple of the summer social scene. With over 300 people attending, this year's gala, again held at TPepin’s Hospitality Center, proved no different with many of Tampa Bay's hottest athletes in attendance. Nece, along with his father, Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, current and former Buccaneer players including Coach Raheem Morris, Will Allen, Davin Joseph, Adam Hayward, the Bachelorette's Nick Peterson, and Miss Florida, Jaclyn Raulerson, mixed and mingled to the sounds of VirtuRocksity and DJ Coro. The gala raises money for the foundation's Good Samaritan scholarship program. Foundation Director Allison Stokes was thrilled with the changes to the limo scavenger hunt portions of the gala, where competitors tweeted about their adventures to compete for a prize pool. The winners were the AT and T team, led by Andrew Hall. Zyr Vodka returned for its second year, with Cindy Cicala's team mixing up some "Pay it Forward" martinis. Other fans in the crowd included Eilam Isaak, Rob and Christine Elder, Cheryl and Bruce Landon, Jim Henning, Patty Masin, John Byzcek, Kevin Brown and Vicki Grimes.
