B Scene with Brooke Palmer
The Summer Social Season IS Heating Up...

Summer is here and WOW is it HOT! The events are no exception, from celebrity laden golf tournaments, to wining and dining with the fishes, Tampa Bay set the tone for a summer to remember.

The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am kicked-off their tournament week with the famous Aussie Bash at the A la Carte Event Pavilion. Nashville recording artist, LoCash Cowboys, rocked the packed house. In addition to a grand performance, players, sponsors, leadership volunteers, and supporters were entertained with vast quantities of great food from numerous OSI Restaurant concepts including Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steak House & Wine Bar, Roy’s, desserts from A La Carte Event Pavilion, as well as an open premium bar. Continuing with the festivities was the Welcome Party of the premier PGA TOUR Champion’s Tour event. This intimate, VIP welcome reception awed guests with its creative Bollywood theme. The sporadic, yet carefully planned acts entertained VIP’s with an unforgettable experience while they indulged in mouthwatering Indian cuisine and cocktails. When golf legends such as, Hale Irwin and Nick Price joined celebrities like Craig T. Nelson and Rascal Flatt’s Joe Don Rooney get together, it's sure to be a good time!

The place to “B” Scene for the weekend was the Billabong Club where once again, Tampa’s finest mingled with players and celebrity guests. We were granted exclusive access to all the fun in the sun. Shout out to my girls Whitney Crisp and Elissa Dooman and tourney director Amy Hawk for all the hospitality. Trust me folks, buy a Billabong package — you won’t regret it!

The Sea Grapes Fine Wine and Food Festival is a casual but elegant evening benefiting the Florida Aquarium’s youth education and conservation programs including sponsored admissions for under privileged youth, sea turtle rehabilitation, seahorse conservation and coral farm propagation. Guests of the event were able to sample more than 100 featured wines, enjoy cuisine from 20 premier bay area restaurants, and bid on unique and exciting auction items. Guests danced the night away to live music and entertainment while exploring the Aquarium’s numerous exhibits that featured live mermaids as new additions for the night. Co-chaired by Brooke Palmer and Angela Ardolino, fundraising and attendance records were shattered this year. Sipping and Swimming were: Aquarium President Thom Stork with his wife Donna, Mark Haney, Jason Carroll, Ellen Henderson, Kim Rogers, and Michael and Lindsay Stewart. Overall the event was a hit among the community and most of all surpassed the amount needed to be raised for Tampa’s beloved aquarium.
