St. Lucia is a single island, lost in the Caribbean. It has a rich cultural history, a gorgeous landscape and plenty of activities to delight any traveler.

Expect sprawling tropical landscape lined with palm trees, whose majesty are only superseded by the Pitons, 2,000-foot-high twin peaks on the southwest coast of the volcanic island. Its center is comprised mainly of rainforest and villages, outlined by exotic postcard-ready beaches, complete with turquoise water playing off the vibrant green flora and white coastline. Although the view is vast, many resorts lie in secluded beach coves—offering quiet bliss.

itself to exploration. Visitors will find a variety of tours available, and there are a few must-see sights. The rainforest spans 19,000 acres of the island, covering mountains and valleys. It is full of exotic plant and animal species, such as bird of paradise, orchid, boa constrictor and St. Lucia Parrot. Continue enjoying the tropical view at Latille Gardens. Fruits, flowers, trees and other plants adorn the gardens and hiking trails lead to majestic waterfalls.

Other natural attractions include Sulphur Springs, the world’s only drive-in volcano, Mt. Gimie, the highest point on St. Lucia and Diamond Falls.

Adventurous visitors will find no end to the variety of water sports, such as fishing, diving, windsurfing, snorkeling, water skiing, boating and parasailing. Big game fish fill the waters surrounding the island as well as coral, sponge and marine life: sharks, spotted eels, seahorses and angel fish, to name a few.
