Pride & Passion is the official kick-off to Gay Pride month celebrations across Tampa Bay. This year, over 800 friends gathered at the Museum for a dazzling night of art, entertainment, food and drinks.

Guests of Pride & Passion enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres by Timpano Italian Chophouse, dessert and coffee by Piquant Hyde Park and Signature Tito’s Vodka Cocktails and Wine Exchange Champagne Bar. This year’s theme was Fall in Love. During the evening there was surprise entertainment and full TMA gallery access. An added bonus for all guests included an annual Tampa Museum Membership.

The mission of Pride & Passion is to be the premier LGBT event for the Tampa Museum of Art’s community outreach by producing a fun, memorable and profitable annual event that raises funds for Museum exhibitions, encourages new memberships, fosters a continuing commitment by current members and reaffirms the Museum’s commitment to diversity.

The Steering committee included Kevin Reder and Rich Scherer as co-chairs. Others on the committee included: Aneta Babmov, Nick Buchanan, Jose Garboza, Jeff Gibson, Jess Hille, Mariruth Kennedy, Jim Martin, Ruslana Panov, Nancy Seijas – Kipnis, and Okesene “Okie” Tilo. Wells Fargo was the Presenting Sponsor; Robin Sharp & Anne Marie Christino were Premier Sponsors.

METRO magazine was a proud media sponsor.
