The Grandeur of Bern’s Winefest No.19
Culminated with a VIP Party & Grand Tasting
Bern’s Winefest Grand Tasting kicked off early with an exclusive VIP Party, patrons enjoyed the grandeur and elegance of the winefest, as they tasted their way through all the tasting tents before the Grand Tasting “general admission” began. VIP patrons started early and enjoyed their favorite wines from all over the globe and savored the regional fare created by Bern’s culinary teams – without waiting in lines.
During the VIP Party, the premier sponsor, Moet Hennessy, offered Dom Perignon paired with a bite of indulgence from their culinary teams.
The sold-out Bern’s Grand Tasting immediately followed the VIP Party; there is not another wine tasting in the state of Florida that can match the quality of food and wine of this special occasion. The event offered a rare opportunity to taste more than 200 top-rated wines, arranged by country of origin and paired with culinary delights from Bern’s Steak House, Haven, and the Epicurean Hotel outlets, Élevage and EDGE. It was a delectable and entertaining afternoon, complete with cheeses in the Lounge du Fromage, desserts at the Chocolate Pi Patisserie, Champagnes paired with avant-garde creations at the Moet Hennessy Oasis, and innovative cocktails featuring Belvedere Vodka and Grand Marnier in the back tent.
Patrons could bid at the Winefest Silent Auction. Wineries from all over the world donated unique items only for Bern’s. The auction benefited the Bern Laxer Scholarship Fund. The fund awards a $10,000 scholarship each year, through the James Beard Foundation. Created in the spirit of Bern Laxer, these scholarships are to assist students who are interested in a career in culinary, hospitality management, or viticulture.
