Let’s Get Heartwalking!

The American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk is upon us! The Heart Walk raises awareness about the No. 1 and No. 5 causes of death in America – heart disease and stroke – and celebrates survivors, caregivers, advocates, and the progress our community has made in the fight against cardiovascular diseases.

The walk takes place Saturday, Nov. 11, at Raymond James Stadium. Festivities begin at 8 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 9 a.m. There are 1-mile and 3-mile routes, but regardless of how far you decide to go, LIFE is why we walk.

This year’s Heart Walk celebrates the Healthy For Good movement. Healthy For Good is the American Heart Association’s evidence-based healthy living recommendations in a program that delivers simple-to-understand advice, tools, tips and shareable science.

Healthy for Good encourages consumers to lead healthier lives. Four pillars ground the movement: eat smart – make healthier choices each day; add color – add more fruits and vegetables; move more – add more exercise; be well – reduce stress and increase overall well being.
